This is an original 1807 black and white copper engraving of a Water-Raising Machine that was used to remove, drain, and water farmland during the early 19th century (fig. 1). This particular piece of machinery was invented by Mr. Sergeant of Whitehaven, Cumbria, England.

This 206+ year old Item is rated Very Fine +. Moderate foxing and aging. Light creasing. Some light surface rub.
