This is an original 1832 monochrome wood engraving of the Colossi of Memnon, enormous statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III located in the Theban necropolis in Egypt. Ever since an earthquake damaged the eastern statue, it has been known to whistle, or sing, with the wind.
