This is an original 1958 color print of a piece by Paul Klee entitled
Mit der sinkenden Sonne (
With the Setting Sun). Abstract work can seem overwhelming at first, but once the viewer looks closely and digs deep they can find abstracted elements of everyday things. For instance, in this image the red circle could be considered the sun and the arrow the direction it is headed, which is down/setting. The bottom left could be a house and the various shapes could be abstractions of the landscape.
