This is an original 1956 black and white print ad for United States savings bonds that was sponsored by the Public Service Advertising Council. The ad highlighted the heroic actions of Clara Louise Maass, of the Army Nurse Corps during the Spanish-American War who volunteered to be a human subject for yellow fever vaccine trials.
