This is an original 1882 halftone of Scheveningen Costumes, near the Hague. The Hague is a city in South Holland in the Netherlands along the North Sea. In its early days it was a small fishing village before it became the seaside resort it is today.
Their clothing was made of wool and linen, and were dark colors.
