John Seymour Lucas
John Seymour Lucas (1849-1923) was a native of London, England, where he received his formal art education at St. MartinÕs Lane Art School and the Royal Academy. This British artist was known to be influenced by Ernest Meissonier, Sir Walter Scott, Velasquez and LucasÕ cousin, John Templeton Lucas, who was a famous genre painter. LucasÕ art has been exhibited at the Royal Academy and more. He was also a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries, as well as a member of the Kernoozers Club.
