This is a rare original 1888 two-page color chromolithograph set (two single-sided pages) which depicts a variety of headdress, hats, dresses, and fashions worn by the Dutch people of Holland (the Netherlands) during the 19th century. As peasant's clothing tended to vary little, it was often the lace headdresses and unique hats that helped the most in identifying one's home region, however such traditional styles eventually faded back as European fashions slowly nudged their way into the Netherlands.
