This is an original 1890 one-page print article about the new Brooklyn Tabernacle. The Brooklyn Tabernacle was planned to be erected in Brooklyn to accommodate the congregation of Dr. Talmage, whose name and fame as a preacher have made the Brooklyn Tabernacle as widely known throughout the land as Plymouth Church. This tabernacle, designed to supply the place of the old building destroyed in fire, will occupy the northeast corner of Clinton and Greene Avenues, having a frontage of 118 feet on Clinton and 200 on Greene Avenue. and will extend back to Waverly Avenue. Today, the Brooklyn Tabernacle, originally Presbyterian, is a non-denominational congregation, and is located at 17 Smith Street, downtown Brooklyn, New York. Architects: John B. Snook & Sons.
