This is an original 1907 halftone print of the "Ship of Ulysses" on the island of Corfu in Greece. The two islands contain monasteries. According to Greek Mythology legend, the far island was the ship that carried Odysseus back to Ithaca; however, it was turned to stone by Poseidon to punish the Phaiakians for helping his army.
