John Hardwicke Lewis
John Hardwicke Lewis (1842-1927) was an artist native to Hyderabad, India, prior to relocating to England, California and Veylaux, Switzerland. He studied art under Thomas Couture. Lewis was most recognized for his illustrations, cartoons, landscape paintings, newspaper artistry and more. His art has been exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts in London. Later, Lewis was affiliated with the Royal Society of British Artists.
