This is an original 1950 black and white print ad for the Du Pont Company. The ad writes, "Next fly-season farmers and ranchers will be able to buy a fly-killer that is both powerful and safe. In Du Pont Marlate 50% technical methoxychlor insecticide they will get this combination of properties that no single insecticide has ever offered before." The use of methoxychlor was banned in the United States in 1993.
