This is an original 1887 monochrome lithograph of French King Louis XIV and his Minister of Finance, Jean-Baptiste Colbert. Jean-Baptiste Colbert attempted to bring back the French economy back from the brink of bankruptcy caused by King Louis's IIV excessive spending on the Wars. King Louis XIV (also known as Louis the Great) is the longest reigning king in European history, reigning for over 72 years.
