1963 Color Print Wedgetailed Saberwing Hummingbird Tiny Psygmorchis Mexico HMX1

This is an original 1963 color print by Rafael Montes de Oca of a member of the Campylopterus Curvipennis Pampa, a subspecies of the Wedge-tailed Saberwing Hummingbird. This bird occupies the region around Yucatan and Guatemala. The pictured plant is known as Oncidium Pusillum, commonly known as The Tiny Psygmorchis, it is one of the smallest of Mexican Oncidiums, and is known in the states of Veracruz, Oaxaca, Tabasco, Campeche, and Chiapas, as well as throughout Central America, the West Indies, and parts of South America.
