This is an original 1871 black and white woodcut of an urn used for warming decoctions such as tea or coffee found at the Thermopolia at Pompeii, Italy. In ancient Rome, Thermopolium were commercial establishments that sold ready-to-eat food, the modern day equivalent to a fast food restaurant.
