This is an original 1966 color print ad for the Midland Bank of England and Wales which features the Polar Bear (Thalarctos maritimus) of the Arctic regions. In the 1960's the Bank ran an ad campaign series on the vanishing wild animals of the world with paintings of artist John Leigh-Pemberton. The Bank is now part of HSBC Holdings.
