This is an original 1904 black and white photogravure of Le Compte de Nouy's "Les Porteurs de Mauvaises Nouvelles" (The Bearers of Evil Tidings). Messengers lay slain as Pharaoh gazes into the distance from his terrace.

This item is from a limited edition collection of important historical prints of Ancient Egypt produced in 1904. The edition size produced at that time was out of 1,000 and this collection of prints was numbered 763. The edition and number are not present on the individual item but rather was provided for the collection as a whole.
