This is an original 1906 halftone print of Bartholomeus Van Der Helst's famous portrait of the rather large Gerard Bicker, son to the Mayor of Amsterdam at the time. Born in Haarlem, the Netherlands during 1613, Van Der Helst was a contemporary of Rembrandt and become extremely well-known for his portraiture.
