This is an original 1936 black and white print ad for Buck Jones Productions with a nice portrait of the famous western picture star, Buck Jones (1891-1942). Born Charles Frederick Gebhart, Charles "Buck" Jones, with his horse Silver, was one of the most popular of the cowboy stars of B Westerns in the 20's and 30's. Some of his movies include: The Last Straw (1920), Desert Valley (1926), Whispering Sage (1927), The Lone Rider (1930), The Texas Ranger (1931), The California Trail (1933), Overland Express (1938), and Dawn on the Great Divide (1942). He died in the tragic Coconut Grove nightclub fire in Boston in 1942.
