This is an original 1883 photolithograph of "The Industrious 'Prentice grown rich, and Sheriff of London", the eighth in a series of twelve paintings by William Hogarth (1697-1764) entitled "Industry and Idleness" that portrayed Francis Goodchild and the Sheriff of London attending a banquet. The painting is also satirizes gluttony and squander.
