1884 Wood Engraving Seal Clubbing Sailor Historic Hunting Costume Arctic XGZC7

This is an original 1884 black and white in-text wood engraving of sailors from an arctic expedition attempting to club seals. As the sun's glare makes them almost blind during the summer months, it was easy to kill the poor creatures and survive of their meat and blubber when rations were running low.
