Charles Stanley Reinhart
Charles Stanley Reinhart (1844-1896) was an American artist hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. However, he received his formal art education at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts (Royal Academy) in Germany. He was most recognized for his paintings, printmaking, illustrations, fresco murals, graphic art design and mosaics, as well as his realism style. ReinhartÕs works primarily center on coastal beach scenes, cityscapes, figures, genre, botanical and floral, streetscapes, portraits and historical subjects. His art has been exhibited at the 1889 Exposition Universelle (Paris WorldÕs Fair), the National Academy of Design in New York, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Paris Salon, the Boston Art Club and more. He was affiliated with the Brooklyn Art Association, the Society of Illustrators and more.
