This is an original 1871 black and white in-text wood engraving of Enoshima and Mount Fujiyama. Enoshima is about 4km in circumference, and is located at the mouth of the Katase River. The island was the site of the 1964 Olympic harbor, as well as the scene of
Enoshima Engi. Mount Fuji, the highest mountain of Japan, is one of the three Holy Mountains, along with Mount Haku and Mount Tate. The volcano is often depicted in Japanese art, and is considered to be one of the most prominent symbols of the country.
