This is an original 1944 World War II color print of "Stretcher Party."

A Cambridge, Massachusetts native, Major Donald Lester Dickson, enlisted in the Marine Corps, where he served in the Guadalcanal and the Caribbean. During the SolomonsÕ Campaign, Dickson served in the first regiment to land on Guadalcanal and the first to occupy Henderson Airfield.
