This is an original 1914 halftone print of a Mezzo Tint. This image is of the Bronning House by Frank Brangwyn. Brangwyn was an Anglo-Welsh artist, painter, watercolorist, engraver, illustrator and progressive designer. He received some artistic training, most likely from his father and later from Arthur Haygate Mackmurdo, and also in the workshops of William Morris. One of his paintings was accepted into the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, which strengthened his conviction in becoming an artist.

Frank Brangwyn

Sir Frank William Brangwyn (1867-1956) was a talented Welsh artist, painter, muralist, engraver and illustrator. During World War I Brangwyn designed a number of war posters. In addition to his commercial poster art, he illustrated a number of books, created illustrations for many American magazines, and painted some very well-known murals. He produced many works in watercolor and hundreds of etchings.
