This is an original 1899 halftone print of Love that Wastes our Little Schoolgirl's Time by Byam Shaw. This is a beautiful image of a school girl getting distracted by 'love'. This is a very creative way of representing love in this child's mind. Love here is an angel dressed in a lavish dress, with arrows behind her. She has a big, coy smile and is building a pyramid with hearts cards in front of this young girl. Shaw does a great job of showing what schoolgirls really think about.
