This is an original 1910 black and white halftone print of Jason and Medea. When Jason arrived in Cochis seeking her father's Golden Fleece, Aeetes was unwilling to give it up so he set a number of impossible tasks for Jason. Medea offered to help with her sorcery if he would promise to marry her. She ended up killing her own brother for this man, and in the end Jason married someone else.
