This is an original 1887 black and white in-text wood engraving of a Realist painting by Vasily Vereshchagin entitled Skobelev in the Battle of Shipka that depicted General Mikhail Skobelev riding his white horse and rallying Russian troops at the Battle of Shipka that was fought during the Russo-Turkish War.
