1924 Print Black Hole Calcutta Dungeon Fort William Memorial Post Office XGN9

This is an original 1924 halftone print of Calcutta's infamous "Black Hole," a fourteen by eighteen feet dungeon. There have been accounts which mention that 146 British prisoners of war were held there after the fall of Fort William, however by the following morning, only twenty-three had survived.
