This is an original 1890 two-page print article about the Mount Pilatus Railway. This article also features illustrations of the Pilatus Railway. Fig. 1 shows the a perspective of the view of the line. Fig. 2 shows a view of one of the Righi railway structures. Fig. 3 shows the construction of the railway.

The Pilatus Railway, also known as the Pilatusbahn, is a Switzerland mountain railway, and the steepest rack railway in the world. The line runs from Alpnachstad, on Lake Lucerne, to a terminus near the summit of Mount Pilatus at an altitude of 6,995 ft.
