This is an original 1873 black and white in-text wood engraving of a pair of illustrations that depicts the sea trials of the Devastation-class ironclad mastless turret ship, HMS Devastation, of the British Royal Navy during the Victorian era. The ship was broken up and scrapped in 1908.

This 140+ year old Item is rated Very Fine ++. Moderate aging in margins. Light creasing. There is light bleedthrough on this piece from the verso. Some light surface rub. Please note: There is printing on the verso.
