This is an original 1874 black and white wood engraving of an illustration by Joseph Nash (1809-1878) that portrays Jacob Wainwright, (Dr. Livingstone's servant), with the coffin containing the body of missionary and explorer David Livingstone (1813-1873) aboard the HMS Calcutta at Aden in British India during the Victorian era.
