This is an original 1925 tipped-in lithograph portrait of Alice Joyce (1889-1955). Known as "The Madonna of the Screen," her "innate charm" and "quiet patrician beauty" set her apart from the other more flamboyant female stars of the era. Some of Alice Joyce's films include "Her Indian Mother" (1910), "The Green Goddess" (1923), "Daddy's Gone A-Hunting" (1925), "Dancing Mothers" (1926), and "Song o' My Heart" (1930).
Period Paper is offering several pieces of an ultra-rare collection of silent film memorabilia from 1925 and 1926 from Paramount which includes beautifully crafted lithographic prints, hand-mounted onto custom card stocks. This historical collection was created in 1925 to celebrate the upcoming 5th Anniversary of the Paramount Pep Club on March 5, 1926.
