1934 Track Field UK Athletes Shot Put Discus Hurdles - ORIGINAL CHM1

This is an original 1934 photogravure with images of British track and field athletes including: R. L. Howland, discus throw; H. A. Simmons, high jump; A. A. Provost, long jump; Lord Burghley, hurdles; T. Hampson, runner; W. D. Behnke, pole vault; and R. M. N. Tisdall, shot put. (Please note that there is printing on the reverse.)

Period Paper has obtained a group of photogravures that were beautifully produced and inserted into the Chums Annual 1933-34, a British publication for boys. Few of these likely exist and perhaps none in this condition. Contrast is exceptional and clarity unsurpassed for commercial photogravure production.
