Durand that portray scenes from popular stage plays in England during the Victorian era, including; the opéra comique, "Richard Coeur-de-lion" at the Drury Lane Theatre, "Old Sailors" at the Strand Theatre, "The Geneva Cross" at the Adelphi Theatre, and "Newmarket" at Weston's Music Hall, (also called the Holborn Empire theater), in London, England.
