This is an original 1895 halftone print of the Berlin Opera House, also known as the Berlin State Opera and the Staatsoper Unter den Linden. This opera house was commissioned by King Frederick II of Prussia and construction began in 1741, with architectural design by Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff.
