This is an original 1820 copper engraving of Lake Sarnen in Switzerland. Printed under the image: Drawn by Major Cockburn. London, Published Sept. 1, 1819 by Rodwell & Martin, New Bond Street. Engraved by R. Wallis. The detail in this original copper engraving is nothing short of extraordinary. We have taken two digital images of the engraving.
