This is an original 1852 black and white steel engraving of the small market town of Kelso, Scotland as it appeared in the mid-nineteenth century. This small border town was built around the Kelso Abbey, pictured in the right section of the piece, the ruins of which still serve as a tourist spot. Prominently displayed is the Kelso Bridge designed by famous architect John Rennie.
