A Grenadier which was originally a drawing created by Horace Vernet (1789-1863). Vernet was a French painter who focused on battles, portraits, and Orientalist Arab subjects. A grenadier was originally a solider in the late 17th century that specialized in throwing grenades or performing assault operations.
