This is an original 1882 monochrome wood engraving of the cathedral of Amiens in (Republique Française). The cathedral is the tallest complete cathedral in the country, and overlooks the Somme river. Amiens Cathedral is known for its 13th century Gothic sculptures. Construction began in 1220, and the floor labyrinth was completed in 1288. During a cleaning in the 1990s, it was found that the western face was originally painted in a wide range of colors.

This 129+ year old Item is rated Very Fine +. No creases. Minor print defect - right side. No surface rub. No tears. No water damage. Please note that there is print on the verso of this engraving.
