This is an original 1883 black and white wood engraving of the statue of the Aztec Goddess Coatlicue (snakes-her-skirt) from ancient Mexico. She is currently located in the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City but was originally found in the main plaza near the Sun Stone.
