This is an original 1885 black and white print ad for Waukesha Glenn-- "the only pure Waukesha water." Address T. H. Bryant. Water from the springs of Waukesha was once regarded as highly pure and healthful, causing the small town to become a resort destination for those in the Chicago and Milwaukee area. There was a plan before the Chicago World's Fair Columbian Exposition to pipe water from Waukesha to Chicago. This plan was met with fierce resistance from Wisconsinites.
