1891 Print Koch's Shiftable Shelving Brackets Shop Fitting Koch A B Co MAB1

This is an original 1891 halftone print of the application of an improved and very simple system of shop fittings, which consist of a series of shiftable and reversible brackets. These brackets are provided along both edges with lugs adapted to fit snugly into sockets in strips of metal that serve as supports for the former, and which are attached to the walls by means of screws or other convenient method. The illustration exhibits the adaptation of this style of shelving for the display and convenient disposal of all sorts of articles, bulky and otherwise. The shelving may be run in continuos parallel lengths or broken into sections, as may be desired, and the width between shelves may be altered to economize space at the utmost. The manufacturers are the Koch A. B. Company, 383 Main Street, Peoria, Illinois. The New York agent of the company was George E. Read, 132 Park Avenue, New York.
