This is an original 1893 monochrome in-text lithograph map of the Battle of Preston that took place on August 17-19 1648 CE between English Parliamentarian forces under Oliver Cromwell and a mixed force of Scottish Engagers and English Royalists under the Duke of Hamilton and William Baillie during the Second English Civil War. The Battle was a decisive Parliamentarian victory.
