1898 Print Queen Elizabeth England Sir Francis Drake Knighting Captain Admiral
This is an original 1898 black and white halftone print of Queen Elizabeth knighting Francis Drake, the vice admiral of the English fleet, who, while a hero navigator and sailor to the English, was considered a pirate by the the Spanish Armada. Drake stole so much treasure, King Philip II offered a reward worth nearly $6.5 million in modern currency for his life.
