This is an original 1903 halftone print of the Areopagus in Athens, Greece. Otherwise known as Mars Hill, this enormous stone structure once served as a temple to the gods, was a place judicial appeals and is mentioned in numerous writings on antiquities in Athens, particularly concerning the Gods.
