John Hassall

John Hassall (1868-1948) was a British artist hailing from Walmer, Kent, England, though he received his formal art education at the Academie Julian in Paris, France. Hassall was most recognized for his childrenÕs literature illustrations, fresco murals, mosaics, and paintings. His art primarily centered on streetscapes, genre and figures.
