("The Public Letter Writer. I take up the pen with a trembling hand...My Julien! tears dim my eyes; I know not whether you will be able to read what I write...") from the "La Boite Aux Lettres" ("The Mailbox") collection.
French caricaturist and artist Paul Gavarni favored the stone medium over any other in their artwork styles. He was also among the most accomplished lithographic draughtsmen in the world.
