This is an original 1904 black and white relief line-block map of the British and Portuguese besiegement of Burgos Castle, which was under French control in 1812 during the Peninsular War. After a month of siege, numerous assaults, and several hundred casualties, British Field Marshal Arthur Wellesley became frustrated with the failed attacks and broke off the siege.
