This is an original 1904 halftone print of Poosie Nansei's Hostelry, an inn located in Mauchline, in Ayrshire, Scotland. It was owned by George Gibson's wife, and was requented often by famous Scottish poet Robert Burns, and was the inspiration for "The Jolly Beggars." Agnes Wilson was employed here, and she became a subject in several of Burns' poems.

This 107+ year old Item is rated Near Mint / Very Fine. Light aging throughout. Light wrinkling. No natural defects. No surface rub. No tears. Light water stain - bottom margin. Please note the pink tinge in the lower left corner.
