This is an original 1908 halftone print for The Demolition of St. James's Hall, Piccadilly from the drawing by Muirhead Bone. This drawing has a highly artistic line quality that you can especially notice in the foreground. This piece was also created with the permission of Mrs. X. Muirhead Bone was a Scottish etcher, drypoint, and watercolor artist. He was born in Glasgow, where he eventually went to the Glasgo School of Art. Because he was first trained as an architect, many of his drawings are of landscapes and architecture, which focused on construction or demolition sites, and industry.
